🍡 MochiPix — Privacy Policy

This policy describes how MochiPix ("the App"), operated by Srinjay Verma, handles your information.

What we collect

• Photos you provide — selfies and photos you choose for AI profiles and generations. Stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Storage), scoped to your account. When you request a generation, the photo you attached is transmitted securely to our AI provider (xAI) solely to create your image, and is not used for any other purpose.
• Anonymous account ID — the App signs you in anonymously with Firebase Authentication; no name, email, or password is collected.
• Purchase state and coin balance — subscription status is processed by Apple and RevenueCat; your coin balance is stored in Firebase Firestore.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your photos to train AI models.
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Face data

MochiPix does not collect biometric face data. We do not perform facial recognition and we never extract, compute, or store face geometry, faceprints, or any biometric identifier. What we do collect are ordinary photographs that you voluntarily select — selfies for your AI Profile and photos you attach to a generation — which may contain your face.

• Use: your photos are used for exactly one purpose — creating the AI images you request. When you start a generation, an AI vision model produces a brief text description of the subject's appearance, which guides the generated image.
• Storage: photos are stored in Google Firebase Cloud Storage (Google Cloud, United States), encrypted in transit and at rest, and access-controlled so only your account can read them.
• Sharing: at the moment you request a generation, your prompt and the photo you attached are transmitted securely to xAI (our AI image provider) solely to fulfill that request. xAI processes them only to generate your image and, per its API terms, does not use API customer content to train its models. We never sell your photos, never use them for advertising, and never share them with anyone else.
• Retention: your photos remain stored only while your account is active. Deleting a photo, profile, or generation removes its files immediately, and Settings → Delete Account & Data permanently deletes your account and every stored photo at once.
• Consent: before your first generation, the App asks for your explicit agreement to this processing, and you can decline.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage), RevenueCat (subscription management), and xAI (AI image generation — the prompt and any photo you attach to a generation are sent to xAI to produce your image; we do not permit their use for model training). Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details.

Retention & deletion

Your photos and generations are kept until you delete them. Deleting a generation or profile removes its files. Settings → Delete Account & Data permanently deletes your account, database records, and stored photos.

Children

MochiPix is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
